Emery 6 months

I have not posted in a long time.  It is hard to believe Emery is already 6 months.  She has been such a sweet baby.  All of the kids love having her around.  Ethan has been so helpful he is always willing to entertain her when I have to get something done.  Addy thinks that Emery is a mini me and she sort of is.  Brody seems to love on Emery a little too much.  Surprisingly Emery is pretty patient with him.  She is starting to sit up on her own and she is rolling from her stomach to back really well and occasionally she will roll from her back to her stomach. I am glad she is taking it slow, this way she gets into less trouble.  She just starting eating veggies not sure how much she likes them but I can't say I blame her those peas smell pretty gross.  She has a cute giggle and she has the sweetest smile around.  She is by far our biggest baby with the cutest chubbiest thighs that only a baby can get away with.  She has been such a great addition to our family.

Emery Madeline

February 22, 2012 @ 2:42pm
8 pounds 12 ounces, 20 inches

She is finally here. What a little chunk. I was induced on my due date Feb 22. Luckily they induced me I don't know how much bigger she could have gotten. They started to pitocin at about 8:00 am and she made it here by 2:42 pm. Everything went great even though she was my biggest baby yet. My epidural was awesome. I couldn't feel the contractions, but I still could move my legs a little. Emery has been so sweet and the kids have been so excited to have her here. I was worried that Brody might be feeling a little bit out of place since he has now been dethroned but he has been loving his sister ( a little too much, if you know what I mean). She has been my best sleeper by far and away. I hope that by writing this I haven't jinxed myself. Life is definately crazy with four but she has been a great blessing. Now it is time to hang on and enjoy the ride.

Ethan was so excited about his birthday he had to open his presents first thing in the morning.

Later we took a couple of his friends to lunch and to ride the flowrider. They had a blast.

Half-way to 70

Happy Birthday Jason!!!! We had a fun celebration with lots of family and friends. Jason has been wanting to ride the flow rider so for his birthday we got a group together and it looked like lots of fun, well actually lots of falling. The kids got in on the fun too and had a blast boogie boarding. Maybe next year I can try when I don't have a big pregnant belly. I wish I had more pictures of the flow rider but all of them turned out to dark to see.

Christmas Eve 2011

Christmas Eve was quiet this year. Usually we go to Mass with Jason's parents and watch the nativity with the kids from their congregation, then eat dinner with them but they moved to Washington last January so this year we had a nice quiet day at home. I am so glad that Dave and Amber could join us for dinner and opening gifts. Christmas Eve was a success until about 3 in the morning when I started throwing up. Yep the flu hit and it hit hard. Christmas morning was sort of a blur. Jason was awesome and took the kids to church and then over to my parents for the Christmas celebration. He got home about 6pm just in time to hit the toilet. Yep he got the flu too and then the next day Ethan got it. We were all wiped out for days. So I guess this will be a memorable year.
